Tattoo Removal Options – Creams, Lasers, And Cost… What’s The Best Option For You?

So you got a tattoo, and you’re looking for a way to get it removed. Didn’t you know that tattoos were permanent? :-) What once was cool is now a regret. Hey I know exactly what you’re going through.

As soon as I turned 18 I raced out to get my first tattoo never thinking that I would want to get it removed. I ‘knew’ exactly who I was at that age, and the tattoo I got proved it! (boy was I stupid)…

So needless to say you’re wanting to get a tattoo removed, and I’m going to take you on a journey revealing how I did it fast…

Removing tattoos has def come a long way since the day my father chugged whiskey, and pulled out the wood burner set. (no i’m not kidding)

It can even be done from the safety and privacy of your own home with some of the more popular tattoo removal creams… (or you can do the modern day equivalent of whiskey and a wood burner kit by choosing laser removal options… Ouch!)

Let’s take a closer look at some of the tat removal options you can choose from, and then the cost associated with each…

Tattoo Removal Creams -  (i.e. Wrecking Balm)

Sure beats the heck out of the surgical options you used to have to choose. Skin grafts? Dermabrasions? Screw that! Not only are they dreadfully expensive and painful, they’re unnecessary. The best part about using tattoo removal creams is that they simply work, they don’t require a prescription, and they are the cheapest of all tattoo removal options.

These topical creams use skin bleaching and/or peeling agents, which over time will force the deepest injected inks of the tattoo to be erased. Don’t be fooled! Lasers aren’t any quicker. You still have to get up to 12 treatments on a tat that’s only about 5 years old.

One of the most powerful tattoo removal creams on the market to date is Wrecking Balm, and that’s the one I use too. It breaks down the ‘ink injected skin cells’, and then utilizes your body’s natural ability to heal and regenerate itself with healthy, new, ink-free skin cells. Safely, naturally, and pain free!

I would highly recommend checking out Wrecking Balm. It’s awesome!

How Does Laser Tattoo Removal Work?

This is kinda cool when you stop and think about how tattoos are removed by lasers. First, the lasers produce short pulses of light that are supposed to pass harmlessly through the top layers of skin, and be absorbed by the tattoo pigment itself. In result the pigment of the tattoo is supposed to fragment into smaller particles awaiting the removal by the body’s immune system.

There has supposedly been a lot of research that went into determining which wavelengths of light to use, and the best way to use the lasers output to remove the tattoo ink optimally.

Well that sounds good right? The only problem I can see with laser tattoo removal is the money and pain! That’s right! Have you never seen the videos of people screaming in pain as the lasers pierce the skin trying to get to the ink-stained skin cells? If not here’s a video…

The average cost for one session of laser treatment is $200 – $400. Most people that choose laser tattoo removal have one average 7-10 sessions. That’s a lot of money for something that can still lead to scarring don’t you think?

How Much Does Tattoo Removal Cost?

Like I said above, the average cost for ONE secession of laser treatments is $200 – $400. You could easily dish out $1-5k just to get one average sized tattoo removed, BUT if you simply decide to go with tattoo removal creams, then you won’t be paying anywhere near that for the same effect.

You can get the entire tattoo removed for less than $150 one time, which is probably a lot less than the tattoo even cost to get!

So I would definitely recommend at least trying that route first, because many of the products that I’ve used gave me a free trial so that I didn’t risk a thing. I could use the product, and if it didn’t work for me then I wasn’t out a single dime.

THERE IS NO SUCH THINK AS FREE TRIAL WITH LASERS!

So in conclusion, (if you haven’t guessed it by now), try one of the removal creams (i.e. Wrecking Balm) first to get your tattoo removed.
